More About Me
As a Kanaka Maoli (Native Hawaiian) business and non-profit consultant, I bring forth a unique perspective deeply rooted in ʻike Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian ancestral knowledge) and my lived experiences as a Native Hawaiian formerly in diaspora and displaced from my ancestral homelands now living in Hilo, Hawaiʻi. My consulting approach embodies aloha (love, care, respect), values pilina (rights relations), and ensures communities and ʻāina (land, water) are centered in all work. With a commitment to preserving traditions while embracing innovation, I offer a comprehensive range of services tailored to elevate businesses and non-profits alike. From strategic planning that honors authenticity to sustainable growth strategies that prioritize both profitability and social impact, my consultancy endeavors to bridge traditional wisdom with contemporary practices, ensuring a prosperous and purpose-driven journey for your organization.
I am deeply committed to meeting the needs of communities, particularly Indigenous and institutionally-excluded communities, and have over 12 years of experience working in and with such communities. I specialize in federal, state, and county grants and private foundations, project management, strategic planning, and more. As a trauma-informed and healing-centered trainer, I approach my work and lead with aloha (love, care, respect).
By infusing Indigenous wisdom into strategic decision-making, I aim to empower clients to navigate complexities while staying true to their core values. Whether it's leveraging cultural insights for market advantage or guiding non-profits towards greater community engagement, my consultancy seeks to create a legacy of positive change. Together, we'll embark on a transformative journey that not only enhances organizational success but also contributes meaningfully to the well-being of our communities and the perpetuation of our ancestral practices.
